Summoning a Servant (Xan)

Xan sat down in front of the magical circle that he had created. Utilizing his own blood he retraced the circle that he had made previously. Xan looked around at the conditions, the time was perfect for him to summon a servant. It was around 3:00 AM on the third day of the month, a time when he is most outletting in his magical power.

When the blood hardened, Xan prepared the necessary steps in order to summon his Servant. He took two katanas that he had bought, since they were the closest thing that Xan had to European swords at the current time. He was aiming to gain the most outstanding of all the Servants, Saber. He had records of the Holy Grail Wars, and almost always did the Saber come into the final rounds of the competition.

When the preparations were done, Xan began to charge magical energy into his body and started his chant.

Thou shalt come forth to my side
Thy sword shalt control my fate
Abiding by the Holy Grail's haven
If thou accepts to this will and reason, then answer me
I am a servant of the gods and the nature of the world
Balance and peace shall be brought forth by me

I, descendant of the gods call upon thee
Become my Servant and grant both our wishes

Heroic Spirit, HERE MY CALL!!!

Saber appeared in a blast of massive size which blew off the roof of the temple. She emerged from the smoke, wearing classic samurai attire without any armor. Her small figure shined through the darkness. Despite her small and frail appearance, she eminated an aura of power and honor. She wielded two katana within her hands and added to the look of her. She looked to see a man, wearing a uniform of some sort, something she was unfamiliar with.

She pointed her sword towards him, her red eye piercing him with a gaze.

"Under terms of our contract, are you my Master?" Saber asked

Xan was blown away by the explosion, but he was even more so by what he saw afterwards. Before him was a stunningly beautiful young woman, pointing her blades towards him. She was small, cute looking with such a frail looking figure. He noticed that she had a large gash that went down her face over her left eye.

At least we have something in common Xan thought to himself

Despite her beautiful and frail appearance, Xan felt fear when she looked at him, something he hadn't normally experienced. The aura around her to him was interpreted as "I may look small and weak, but I'm a force to be reckoned with"

"Under terms of our contract, are you my Master?" Saber asked him

Instantly Xan's mind snapped back into action, and cleared his throat.

"Yes" Xan said calmly "I am your Master, and I assume you are the Servant Saber"

Saber sighed and dropped her serious act, she cracked her neck and rubbed it a little.

"Haa~" Saber sighed "Yeah that's right, I'm Saber"

Saber walked over to the man and looked him in the eye. She noticed too that he had only one eye, his other was covered by an eyepatch.

"Well I don't like calling myself that, I'm Musashi Miyamoto" Saber said quickly "Since you're the boss I don't have to keep that secret from you, now it's your turn"

"Musashi Miyamoto?" Xan's eye widened with surprise, he didn't expect her to open up, and she most certainly didn't expect this type of attitude from her.

Though even he had heard of Musashi Miyamoto, a man who was unrivaled in his time for being a master swordsman. Even one such as Sasaki Kojiro couldn't defeat him, and Kojiro had taken part in the previous war.

This is an interesting development Xan thought to himself Wait... Musashi Miyamoto was a man

Xan looked at his new Servant and it was most definitely a woman, besides the whole lack in the chest area. Though she had boyish looks, she was still beautiful to Xan's eyes.

"Well then I'll just call you Saber" Xan said "I don't want to reveal your identity yet, though I was sure that Musashi Miyamoto was a man"

Xan then pointed to himself and smiled

"I'm Alexander Erikson Helios" Xan said "But you can just call me Xan sweety"

Saber looked at her new Master as he was looking at her. He was rather handsome and she could tell he was powerful. Xan emitted a large amount of magical energy and that raised her own capabilities as she felt the power flowing through her.

She looked him in the face, their eyes meeting and she noticed he made a remark towards her gender and true identity.

"Yeah, most people believe I'm a man, but as you can see, I'm a woman" Saber said, but her nonchalant face turned irritated "Hey"

Saber jumped onto Xan and drew a sword from the ritual ground and pointed it at his neck. Her face was clearly angry and the aura eminated while she was on top of him.

"What's with the disappointed face when you looked at my breasts?!"

Xan was caught off guard when he was knocked over by his servant. He looked down at the long katana blade that was held against his neck, the tip hanging ever so slightly above him. Xan smiled nervously at the blade a laughed.

Man is she a mind reader? Xan thought to himself.

"Well, I was just thinking about something troubling and I just happened to be looking at you, I didn't mean anything by it" Xan said nervously

Xan grabbed the sword within his hands and moved it to the side, he smiled at Saber.

"You are certainly fierce I'll say that for sure" Xand laughed "Now"

Xan stomped his foot onto the ground and he moved at amazing speed to get out of his predicament. He ruffled his coat and cracked his neck.

"You are really rough" Xan said irritated, but then he smiled "It's a good thing I like it rough"

"That's..." Saber began with a confused look when she listened to her master "Interesting..."

Saber pointed the sword at her Master and looked at him with a glare. She stood proud and confidently, like her obvious profession. The sword in her hand seemed to gleem with a strange pulse, like it was given new power.

"I'll tell you right now, I'm not one of those servants that just say yes master" Saber said defiantly "I'm going to win this war my way, and so don't worry about it"

Saber stared, waiting for Xan's reaction.

Xan turned to smile at Saber, despite the defiant Servant's actions, Xan was smiling calmly at her. His unnerving smirk would make most people uncomfortable as to how calm he was being. Despite his smile, his eyes weren't smiling.

"Well if that's the case" Xan smile "Maybe I should use one of my Command Seals?"

Xan moved closer to Saber, coming again so close to her sword that the tip touched his neck. He moved the sword up to cut off the strap on his eyepatch, revealing the mess of what was behind. The left eye was nothing more than a hole that had suffered multiple stab wounds.

"Now what do you think I should order you to do?" Xan asked rhetorically "I know what I'll say..."

Xan stabbed the sword into his left eye socket, collecting blood and pouring it onto the magic circles on his gloves. In Xan's style of magic, a blood sacrifice amplifies the magical energy the user produces.

"Saber" Xan grinned "Become an obedient slave to my will"

Saber was caught off guard by Xan's calm demeanor when she threatened and told him off. He was formidable in the sense that despite being a regular magus, he still thought that he could best Saber. Saber eye widened at what Xan said next.

"Maybe I should use one of my Command Seals?"

Saber froze at the mention of that, but then relaxed. He had to be bluffing, there was no way he was going to use such an important thing for this. But then it didn't seem he was joking as he came over confidently and grabbed her sword.

"Now what do you think I should order you to do?" Xan said as revealed his left eye to her, which was far more mutilated than her own "I know what I'll say..."

Saber froze again, this time she was actually fearing that Xan would go through with it.

"Hey, you aren't really gonna do it are you?" Saber said nervously

Xan took his sweet time and stabbed himself in the eye, she could tell that he was getting ready to do something.

"Saber"

Stop it you idiot!

"Become an obedient slave to my will"

In a flash of red light, the entire area was engulfed by the power of the Command Seal being used. After the flash of light, nothing had changed, on the outside. Saber lay unconscious on the ground, the power of the Command Seal had knocked her down both physically and mentally.

Xan was once again blown away from another explosion of magical energy. He reinforced his left eye to increase its healing enough to stop the bleeding. He laid down on the ground for a couple of seconds, thinking about the situation.

What is with the explosions today?

Xan stood up and walked over to his unconscious servant. When he looked at her lying there, she was beautiful.

A delicate flower that turns out to be a dragon in disguise. Xan thought to himself

Though he didn't want to resort to this method, the servant was clearly capable of being disobedient. This command made sure she would at least follow his orders normally. He picked up his Servant and placed her down on the bed in another room, sitting on a chair beside her.

Saber woke up with a start and nearly jumped out of bed. She looked around the room and noticed Xan sitting in the chair beside her. She looked at him with hate filled eyes, but something inside of her told her to forgive him.

"I see" Saber said "You actually used the command seal"

Saber sat up and folded her legs underneath the sheets to sit in a medative stance. She looked at her master with glaring, cold eyes.

"So what are you gonna do with me now?" Saber asked "I can't go against your will anymore"
